Introduction
Carious disease, non-carious lesions of dental hard tissues, atrophic periodontitis, inflammatory diseases of the jaws of odontogenic and non-odontogenic origin, bite anomalies, trauma and many others often lead to the violation of the integrity of the dental rows. The resulting violation of the integrity of the dental row is an irreversible process, so partial loss of teeth should be considered an unfavorable state of the formed dento-mandibular system, as this occurs and develops a kind of regular pathological conditions with typical symptomatology.[2]
Consequently, quantitative changes in the tooth rows are not only irreversible, but also unstable. Under the influence of predominantly exogenous factors in the dento-mandibular system with compromised integrity of the dental rows there are permanent changes that create a qualitative restructuring of the entire dento-mandibular system, as a result of which usually increases and destruction.[8]
Violation of the integrity of the dental rows in some cases leads to partial or complete loss of teeth and associated changes in the facial skeleton, temporomandibular joint and in the soft tissues covering the facial skeleton, tongue and other organs.
This has a corresponding effect on the functioning of the human body and psyche. The elimination of the emerging flaw in the dental rows, removal of inflammatory and destructive processes, prevention of further deformation of the dental rows is achieved by dental prosthetics.
Submersible removable dentures are based on the mucosa of the alveolar processes. Supported removable dentures, unlike submersible dentures, are based on the supporting teeth and the mucosa of the alveolar processes and the palate, which increases their functional value, reduces the boundaries of the denture bed and improves the conditions of use. [3]
The types of supported removable prostheses are varied. They include:
1. Removable plate prostheses with support-retaining clasps, lock, telescopic and bar attachments.
2. Removable bridges.
3. Soldered and one-piece bracket (arch) prostheses.
