For example, the idea that the government might benefit from citizens dying early to save on pensions and healthcare costs, as seen in the Czech Republic’s tobacco industry case, can be seen as cold and dehumanizing. This utilitarian approach seems to overlook the intrinsic value of individual lives and the emotional consequences of such policies on families and communities.
